Bourgeois to Serve as Interim Vice Provost
Dear Colleagues,
As I mentioned in my last , I鈥檝e felt very fortunate to have an outstanding leadership team in place in the Division of Academic Affairs as I鈥檝e dealt with a recent health challenge. My recovery continues to be going very well, and I remain grateful for your thoughts and prayers.
In addition to the changes we made over the summer听to streamline operations and enhance support for students, faculty, and staff, I have also asked College of Architecture, Art, & Design Dean Angi Bourgeois to undertake an interim appointment in my office this academic year as Interim Vice Provost. During this period, CAAD Associate Dean for Research Bimal Balakrishnan has agreed to take on the role of interim dean to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of all operations.
We are at a critical phase of several initiatives that will benefit from Dr. Bourgeois in this role, and I appreciate her willingness to help us achieve these important goals. I also have confidence in CAAD鈥檚 faculty, staff, and leadership team and believe Dr. Balakrishnan will be an effective, collaborative leader in this interim role.听听
Bimal and Angi will continue to work closely, and CAAD will continue to have my full support as well. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional information.听
